Our liver is one of the most important organs in our bodies, playing a crucial role in many biochemical processes. From detoxification to digestion, there’s no denying its importance - but proper care and attention is key if we want to keep it healthy.
1. Stay away from excess alcohol.
Drinking alcohol can affect our liver in a number of ways. If you’re on the heavier side, this can lead to fatty liver disease. If you’re on the lighter side, it can still be a problem. 6. Eat a healthy diet.
Certain nutrients in the diet can be very beneficial to our livers. For example, foods high in Vitamin C and E can help them perform at their best. The same goes for Vitamin A. If you’re deficient in these nutrients, your liver will struggle. Make sure to eat a wide variety of foods, such as fruits and vegetables to get enough nutrients.
7. Make sure you drink enough water.
When your liver is working hard to perform its functions, it can become quite dehydrated. If you don’t hydrate properly, it’s much more likely that it’ll be having to perform these functions more frequently. Ensure that you’re drinking plenty of water throughout the day, to keep your liver happy.
